Meet the Owners
Nasa Bakery owner and master baker, Naci (pronounced nah-DJEE) Saklica, has honed his craft for over two decades. His story begins in Batman, Türkiye, where, as one of ten siblings, Naci’s interest in using food to unite people was born.
His love for fostering togetherness and his passion for baking led him to operate a successful café in Istanbul for 10 years. There, he developed an uncompromising commitment to quality products and to creating authentic Turkish pastries.
Naci hopes to continue sharing his love of baking in his adopted city of Vancouver.
This café is his piece of Istanbul, served fresh, daily.
Nasa Bakery’s other chief baker is Sabri, Naci’s equally capable brother. Sabri’s efforts were instrumental to the success of the brothers’ former Istanbul café, Nazlı Börek Cafe.
Sabri also boasts of a background in garment construction, a clear indication of an above average level of technical precision and attention to detail.
